ARE YOU TAKING ON NEW CLIENTS AT THIS TIME?

Not at this time. Whenever I have more availability open up I will update this answer.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

I am in network with United Healthcare/Optum plans, UMR, OSCAR, Humana, and AvMed. If you do not have one of these health plans you would pay my cash rate.

WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?

Client's with insurance pay whatever their plan's copay for counseling is. For those paying out of pocket, couples counseling $135 per session, and for individuals it is $115. I am not currently taking on any clients on a sliding scale.

ARE YOU SEEING CLIENTS IN PERSON RIGHT NOW?

I am only seeing clients through teletherapy/online sessions. I am able to provide online counseling to anyone who is a Florida resident; you do not have to reside in the Miami area.

WHAT PRESENTING PROBLEMS DO YOU TREAT?

Anxiety, depression, grief, abandonment issues, trauma, familial conflict, couples issues, LGBTQ+ related issues, loneliness, job related distress, loss of partner through separation/break up, gender/racial inequality, and overall emotional distress.

HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?

Each therapy session is 50 minutes long.

WHAT DAYS ARE YOU AVAILABLE?

I am currently available for online sessions throughout the week, Monday thru Friday.

WHAT TYPES OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

I accept credit card or debit card. I will send you a credit card form to fill out before the first session in your patient portal. I will charge your copay or session rate to your card automatically after your session.

WHAT TYPE OF THERAPY TECHNIQUES DO YOU USE?

I use an eclectic style of therapy, with influences from the following theories: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Gottman, and Person Centered. I use what I think is helpful in the moment with my clients. I walk with my clients to where they want to go, the past or the present.

CAN I CONTACT YOU BY EMAIL?

Yes, feel free to contact me by email but please note that this is not a means of emergency contact. Please allow me a minimum of 24 hours to respond, and do not email me any sensitive information in order to protect your privacy.

WHAT AGES DO YOU WORK WITH?

I work with clients aged 18 and up.

IS YOUR PRACTICE INCLUSIVE?

Yes. I have experience working with people of color and the LGBTQIA community (and other marginalized groups). This is a no judgement, compassionate listening and understanding practice.

ARE THERE ANY ISSUES OR TYPES OF CLIENTS THAT YOU DON’T WORK WITH?

I do not work with minors, nor do I conduct child custody evaluations or custody recommendations. I also do not provide treatment for eating disorders, psychotic disorders (schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, etc), or personality disorders. Due to state licensing laws, I can only provide therapy and counseling to individuals physically residing in Florida.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

There is a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you do not notify me at least 24 hours before your appointment, you will be charged a $50 cancellation fee, which will be charged to your credit card. 

DO YOU SPEAK SPANISH?

Yes, as my secondary language. I am currently only offering sessions conducted in English.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I BE IN THERAPY FOR?

That is entirely up to you based on your needs, availability, financials, etc. The majority of my clients I see on a weekly basis, while some are bi-weekly or as needed. We will figure out what best suits your needs together.
